Volunteer Opportunities

The club posts its volunteer shifts — meet timers, snack bar, work parties, event set-up — as opportunities you can sign up for from the portal. Hours you work still get logged the usual way; signing up just reserves your spot.

  1. From Home, tap Volunteering (the subtitle shows your hours and how many shifts you’re signed up for)
  2. Open the Opportunities tab

Shifts are grouped by day, with open shifts listed before full ones. Each card shows the title, category, time, location, the hour credit (for example 2 hr credit), and a difficulty from Easy to Hard where set. The corner badge shows the count — 3 / 8 for a capped shift, or 5 interested for an interest list with no cap.

The Calendar sub-tab shows a month view with a dot on each day that has shifts. If you arrived from a Sign up to volunteer button on the club calendar, the page is already filtered to that day — tap Show all to see everything. A shift disappears from the list once it has ended.

  1. Tap Sign up on the card
  2. Under Who’s signing up?, tick each person. Account holders and roster family members are all listed; you are ticked by default, and anyone already signed up is greyed out
  3. Optionally add a Note for the organizer
  4. Tap Sign up (or Sign up 2 for several people)

You’ll get a toast such as “2 signed up” and a confirmation email for each person. To add another family member later, tap Add another on the same card.

When a shift is full, the card says Full — waitlist open or simply Full. If the waitlist is open, the button becomes Join waitlist; if only a few spots remain, the dialog tells you how many of the people you picked get a spot and how many go on the waitlist. When someone cancels, the first person on the waitlist is moved up automatically and gets a “You’re in” email.

A Your signups panel at the top of the tab lists every upcoming shift your family is on, with a Waitlist badge where relevant. Tap Cancel to give up a spot — please do this as soon as you know you can’t make it so the spot can go to someone else.
