Member News Feed
Every broadcast the club sends from Resend can also appear on the News page in the portal and the Klahaya app, so members who missed the email can still read it. Broadcasts are written and sent in the Resend dashboard; the portal picks them up automatically.
Setting up topics
Section titled “Setting up topics”- Go to Admin > Settings > News
- Tick Enable the news feed (the Member News feature toggle must also be on under Feature Visibility)
- Click Add topic and enter the Resend topic ID and a Label members will see (e.g. “Newsletter”)
- Optionally tick Account types and Teams to restrict who sees that topic’s broadcasts; leave both empty for everyone
- Tick Active and click Save settings
A sent broadcast whose Resend topic matches an active topic appears on the feed as soon as Resend reports it delivered (a daily check catches any that slip through). A broadcast sent with no topic, or an unconfigured one, is still ingested but hidden, so you can publish it by hand.
Curating the feed
Section titled “Curating the feed”Admin > News (under Operations) lists every ingested broadcast with its subject, sender, Published or Hidden status, topic, and sent date. Use Show / Hide to control each one. The content itself comes from the broadcast and isn’t editable here.
Click Audience… to override who sees a single item: tick Account types and/or Teams. Leave both empty for everyone; set both and a family must match both. Team targeting means families with a pending or paid registration for that team in the current season.
What members see
Section titled “What members see”News on Home shows the three most recent items with a View all link. The full feed at /home/news lists each item with its topic badge, date, subject, and preview text, with topic pills to filter when there is more than one topic. Opening an item shows the full broadcast. In the Klahaya app, Club news offers the same list with a search bar.
