Registration Windows

Registration windows control when each account type is allowed to start registering for a session’s classes. Each account type can open at a fixed time, or run as a lottery where families register in a drawn order.

Configuring Windows

1. Open the session and click the Registration Windows tab
2. For each account type, tick its checkbox to allow registration — unticked types show Cannot register
3. Choose a mode:
   • Open Window — set the date and time registration opens for that account type
   • Lottery — set the Lottery start time and the Slot duration (min) (default 15)
4. Click Save Windows

The Current Windows summary at the bottom lists each type as “Opens [date]”, “Lottery mode — starts [date], 15min slots” or “Open immediately (no date set)”.

How Lottery Mode Works

In lottery mode every eligible family gets a lottery number, and a family’s window opens at the lottery start time plus (number − 1) × slot duration — #1 at the start time, #2 one slot later, and so on. Members see Lottery #N — opens [date] at [time] on the session until their turn, and an email plus push notification (“Your registration window is open!”) goes out automatically when each window opens.

After saving a lottery window, click Manage Assignments to draw or import the numbers — see Lottery Assignments. Before the first save the tab reads “Save windows first, then manage lottery assignments.”

Tip

Members whose window hasn’t opened see the session greyed out with the opening time. To let specific families in ahead of any window, use the Early Access tab — see Early Access.

Note

If no window is set (or the type is unticked), those members can’t register for classes in that session. A member without a lottery number in a lottery-mode session sees Lottery number not assigned.
