Managing Tabs
Concessions Tabs (/admin/concessions/tabs) lists every family with an open snack-cart tab. Staff can view tabs; the actions on them are admin-only. To turn tabs on and set the schedule, see Tab Mode Settings.
Open Tabs
Section titled “Open Tabs”Active tabs shows each family’s Status (open, reconciling, or frozen with its retry count), when the tab was Opened, and its Balance. Click View to open the family’s tab.
A Family’s Tab
Section titled “A Family’s Tab”The family page shows the current balance, when the tab opened, and every item with the time it was added. Voided items are struck through with their reason. Admins also get:
- Charge tab now — charge the full balance to the family’s card on file immediately (confirm the prompt). It’s disabled while a reconciliation is already running. The family receives the usual tab paid email and receipt
- Unfreeze — reopen a frozen tab without charging it, for example after the family has agreed a plan with the front desk. The next scheduled reconciliation will try the card again
- Remove on an item — void it with a reason. The family is emailed Item removed from your … tab with that reason and the balance drops accordingly
Per-Family Caps
Section titled “Per-Family Caps”Each family’s cap lives on their family record under Billing, in the Concessions tab cap card:
- Click Edit
- Enter a Tab cap ($) — blank inherits the club default, a number sets a custom cap, and 0 disables the cap for that family
- Click Save
The resting view names the cap in force and whether it’s the club default or set for this family. Below it, Limit history records every change — who made it, their role, and where: changed here, changed on their Tab page, raised at member checkout, or raised at Popsicle Checkout.
Frozen Tabs at the Point of Sale
Section titled “Frozen Tabs at the Point of Sale”When a family’s tab is frozen, the Concessions Cart shows Tab is frozen pending payment in the family panel and refuses tab sales; the Popsicle Checkout refuses tab reloads the same way. You can still take payment on the reader, or have the family pay the tab from their Tab page or the app.
