Member Waiver Settings
The Member Waivers card at the bottom of Admin › Waivers (/admin/waivers#member-waivers) controls whether waivers are required and how the front desk treats an unsigned one.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”- Enable waivers — show waiver prompts to members (the Home card, the Waivers page, the app’s required setup step) and waiver status at check-in. When off, nothing is required and reports only show signatures already on file.
- Block check-in for incomplete waivers — when on, staff cannot check in a member who hasn’t signed every required waiver, and the app’s self check-in won’t let that person be selected. When off, staff see a warning but can proceed.
- Message when check-in is blocked — shown after the list of members with incomplete waivers when blocking is on. Default: “They cannot be checked in until they sign.” Leave blank to show only the member list. Up to 500 characters.
- Message when check-in is allowed (warning only) — the same, when blocking is off. Default: “You can still check them in.”
- Notify staff when a guest waiver is signed — comma-separated email addresses that receive a message each time a guest completes a waiver. See Guest waivers.

How members are classified
Section titled “How members are classified”Whether someone is an adult or a child is decided from their date of birth, falling back to their member type when no birth date is on file. Children — including teenagers who have their own login — are signed for by a parent or guardian; adults sign for themselves. Keeping birth dates on the roster accurate keeps waivers, check-in contacts and reports consistent.
