Signing In to the App
The first time you open the Klahaya app it walks you through a short welcome, signs you in with an emailed code, and runs a quick setup checklist. After that, opening the app takes you straight to Home.
The welcome screens
Section titled “The welcome screens”On the very first launch after installing, the app shows four short slides about what it does — lessons and waitlists, your tab and popsicle punches, volunteering and check-ins. Swipe or tap Next to move through them, or tap Skip at the top right to go straight to sign-in. You only see these once per install; signing out does not bring them back.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”-
On the Klahaya Swim & Tennis screen, enter the Email address the club has on file and tap Continue.
-
Most members are sent a 6-digit code. On the Check your email screen, type the Code and tap Sign in. The email can take up to a minute to arrive — tap Send a new code if it does not.
-
Staff and admin accounts are taken to Sign in with a password instead. Enter your Password and tap Sign in.
The app chooses the right second step for you. If you have both a code and a password on your account, you can switch with Use a password instead or Email me a code instead. Use a different email address takes you back to the first screen.
The setup checklist
Section titled “The setup checklist”After your first successful sign-in, the app shows Let’s get you set up — a checklist of up to three items:
- Notifications (Optional) — Turn on push notifications for things like waitlist offers and club closures. Tap Turn on to get the phone’s one-time permission prompt, or Not now. See Push Notifications.
- Waivers (Required) — Sign this season’s waivers for yourself and any children you are responsible for. The checklist cannot be finished while one of these is missing; other people’s waivers are shown but do not block you.
- Add a card (Optional) — Save a card for the tab, popsicle punches and lessons. This is the same card flow as Account → Payment methods, and you can Skip for now.
Tap Continue to open the next item, and Go to Home once everything is answered. Members who already have all three done never see the checklist. It runs once per login, not per phone, so signing in on a second device does not repeat it.
If your family owes dues
Section titled “If your family owes dues”When the club has put a family on hold for unpaid dues, the app opens on the Membership dues screen instead of Home and stays there until the balance is paid. Paying from that screen lifts the hold immediately. If the club runs off-season facility programs, the Reservations row on that screen stays available — off-season access is independent of summer dues.
Signing out
Section titled “Signing out”Open the Account tab and tap Sign out. The app also stops delivering push notifications to that phone, so a phone that changes hands does not keep receiving your offers.
