Concessions Products

Concessions Products (/admin/concessions/products) is the snack-cart catalog. Everything here appears on the Concessions Cart as soon as it’s saved. Staff and admins can both manage it.

Adding a Product

  1. Under Add product, enter a Name, a Category (for example “Frozen” or “Drinks”), and a Price ($)
  2. Optionally pick an Image (optional) — up to 5 MB
  3. Click Add

Categories become the tabs on the point of sale. Typing a category that already exists in a different case joins the existing group rather than creating a second one; a brand-new category typed in all caps is title-cased.

Duplicate checks

  • A name that matches an existing product (ignoring case, punctuation, and spacing — “M&Ms” and “m & ms” are the same) is refused with “…” already exists. If the match is an archived product, restore it instead.
  • A name that’s merely similar opens a Possible duplicate confirmation listing the look-alikes. Click Add anyway if it really is a different product.

SKUs

Every product gets an automatic, permanent numeric SKU (1001, 1002, …) when it’s created. SKUs show on each row, can’t be edited, and are searchable both here and on the point of sale.

Editing a Product

Use the search box (Search name, SKU, or category…) or the low-stock filter to find a product, then click its row to expand it. Fields save as you leave them:

  • Name, Category, Price ($)
  • Sales tax (%) — leave blank to use the club’s concessions rate (the placeholder shows it); enter a rate to override it for this product, or 0 for an untaxed item. Rows with an override show the rate in their summary
  • Options — Featured pins the product to the point of sale’s Favorites tab; Track stock turns on inventory (see Inventory)
  • Order within category — Move up / Move down arrows set the tile order on the point of sale
  • Image — Add or Replace the photo, or remove it

Archiving and Deleting

  • Archive hides a product from the point of sale; it stays in reports and can be restored with Restore
  • Delete (only on archived products) removes it permanently along with its stock history. Products with past sales can’t be deleted — archive them instead

Tax Mode

Section titled “Tax Mode”

The page header tells you whether Menu prices include sales tax or Sales tax is added on top of the menu price at checkout, and the club-wide rate. Both are set under Settings > Payments > Concessions Tax. With inclusive tax, enter the shelf price members pay; with exclusive tax, enter the pre-tax price.
