Public Forms
A public form is reachable at a short link that needs no login, so coaches, contractors, or guests can submit to it from a phone or a printed QR code. The first public form at the club is the pool chemical log at /chems.
Making a form public
Section titled “Making a form public”- Open the form under Admin > Forms (or create a new one)
- Under Who fills it out?, keep One response per family — per-person mode isn’t available on public forms
- Tick Public form
- Optionally enter addresses under Email a copy of each response to so the office hears about every submission instantly
- Tick Active and save
The Share links card now shows two links:
- Public link —
/f/<slug>; anyone with it can submit, no sign-in needed. Safe to post or print as a QR code - Member link —
/home/forms/<slug>; members can still fill it in from their portal
Copy link on the forms list copies the public link for a public form.
What changes on a public form
Section titled “What changes on a public form”Because anonymous visitors have no account, a public form:
- Can’t use Select from account questions (the button is disabled in the builder)
- Can’t collect one response per person
- Doesn’t let members edit their response
- Accepts repeat submissions from the same visitor — it behaves like a log, not an RSVP
Anonymous responses appear on the responses page and in exports with Public in the Family column. Only the answers themselves are stored; no identity or roster data is collected.
After submitting, the visitor sees “Thanks — your response has been recorded.” and a Submit another response button.
The chemical log
Section titled “The chemical log”/chems on the club domain redirects to the public form whose slug is chems. Create or rename a form so its slug is chems, tick Public form, and the short address works. The Opens and Closes times and the Active toggle apply exactly as they do for member forms — a closed public form shows “This form is closed and no longer accepting responses.”
