Push Notifications
The Klahaya app can notify you when something needs your attention — a lesson spot opening up, your registration window, a club closure. Notifications are opt-in, and you choose which kinds to receive.
Turning them on
Section titled “Turning them on”The app never asks for permission at launch. Instead, a Get notified when it matters card appears on Home (and as the first step of the setup checklist) explaining what the club sends. Tap Turn on to get your phone’s permission prompt, or Not now to dismiss the card.
You can turn notifications on at any time under Account → Notifications. If they are off at the phone level, that screen shows Notifications are off with an Open Settings button, and it updates itself when you come back.
Choosing what to receive
Section titled “Choosing what to receive”Account → Notifications lists each kind the club can send, with a switch:
- Waitlist offers — A spot opened up in a lesson class you’re waiting for. These expire in 24 hours.
- Lesson registration windows — Your lottery number is up and you can register for the next session.
- Club announcements — News, events and reminders from the club. A few times a month at most.
- Urgent alerts — Closures, weather and safety notices. Rare, and time-sensitive — leave this on if you can.
- Facility reservations — Your lap-swim and facility bookings: confirmations, waitlist promotions, access decisions, schedule changes and any payment problems.
These choices are saved to your account and honoured by the club’s servers, so they apply even when the app is closed. New kinds the club adds later are on by default until you switch them off.
What a notification does
Section titled “What a notification does”Tapping a notification opens the screen it is about: the waitlist offer itself, the lesson session whose window opened, the reservation, the news post. If the page only exists on the website, the app opens it in its in-app browser with you already signed in. A notification that arrives while you are in the app shows as a banner at the top of the screen.
Where notifications come from
Section titled “Where notifications come from”- Waitlist offers and Lesson registration windows are sent automatically by the lessons system when a seat frees up or your lottery window opens.
- Club announcements and Urgent alerts are written by club admins.
- Facility reservations notifications are sent automatically when a booking is confirmed, promoted from a waitlist, changed or cancelled, when an access request is decided, and when a session charge fails.
Stopping them on a phone
Section titled “Stopping them on a phone”Signing out of the app stops notifications on that phone. If you keep several phones signed in, each one receives them.
