Command Palette (⌘K)
The command palette is a search box that opens from anywhere in the Admin panel. Type a few letters and it finds the page, the settings section or the specific record you are after, then takes you there on Enter.
Opening it
Section titled “Opening it”- Press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows — it works even while your cursor is in a form field.
- Or click Search admin in the green header bar (on a phone, the search icon).
The first time you visit the Admin panel a small tip under the header says Press ⌘K anywhere to search the admin. It disappears once you have opened the palette or dismissed it.
Using it
Section titled “Using it”Start typing in Search pages, settings and records. Results update as you type and are grouped by area — Home, Members, Programs, Commerce, Operations, Reports, Settings, Point of Sale — with a one-line description under each so you can tell similar pages apart. Use the arrow keys to move, Enter to open the highlighted result (or the top result if nothing is highlighted), and Esc to close.
With nothing typed, the palette shows the eight places you go most often.
What it finds
Section titled “What it finds”Pages and settings sections. Every static admin page is indexed, and so is every section of the settings pages — searching “tax” lists each tax rate (Lesson Tax, Guest Pass Tax, Merch Store Tax…), and picking one opens the settings page scrolled to that section with it briefly highlighted. Searches also match on plain-language keywords, so “kiosk” finds the self check-in setting and “geofence” finds the check-in radius.
Records by name. Type at least two characters and the palette also searches live records and lists them with their type:
- Lesson programs, sessions and classes
- Forms and team signup forms
- Meets
- Banners and waivers
- Volunteer opportunities
- Calendars and calendar events
- Pool rentals and facility (reservation) programs
- Families — by family name, a member’s name, or member number
Each record result opens its detail page. A Search families for “…” row is always offered as well, which runs the full Family Roster search for the text you typed.
Related pages. For longer, sentence-like queries the palette also looks for related pages by meaning (Looking for related pages…), so “where do I change who gets low stock emails” finds Low-Stock Alerts even though none of those words are in its name. If that lookup is unavailable, the name-based results still work.
