Early Access & Lotteries
For popular sessions the club may stagger registration with a lottery, grant certain families early access, or run signup in person at the front desk. The session card and the session page always tell you which applies to you.
Lottery Numbers
Section titled “Lottery Numbers”When a session uses a lottery, every eligible family is assigned a lottery number. Registration opens for each number in turn — number 1 at the lottery start time, then each following number a fixed number of minutes later.
- On the Lessons page the session shows Lottery #N — opens [date] at [time] until your turn, then Registration open (Lottery #N)
- The session page shows Your lottery number is #N. with your opening time
- When your window opens you receive an email titled Your registration window is open! (and a push notification in the Klahaya app) with a Register Now button
If you try to register before your window you’ll see “Your registration window opens [date] at [time] (Lottery #N)”. If you have no number for the session, the card reads Lottery number not assigned — contact the club.
Early Access
Section titled “Early Access”The club can hand-pick families to register ahead of the public window. If your family has been granted early access, the session card reads Early access and the session page shows Early access — registration is open for your family. You can register for any class in that session right away, regardless of lottery timing.
In-Person Signup Days
Section titled “In-Person Signup Days”Some sessions are registered in person. The club emails each family Your lottery number is #N with a When & where section describing the signup event. On the day, families are served in lottery-number order; bring your phone.
While in-person mode is on:
- Online registration is closed for that session. The session page shows Registration is being run in person. and any attempt to register is refused with “please see an admin at the front desk.”
- Click View live queue to open the queue page, which shows Your lottery number, Now serving, Progress (families served out of the total) and Estimated families ahead of you. It refreshes about every 12 seconds. The Klahaya app has the same Live queue screen.
- At the desk, staff pick classes with you, then either charge your card on file or the card reader, or send you a checkout link that opens your cart already signed in so you can pay on your phone. Checkout links expire after 30 minutes.
