Card Readers
The club’s card readers are Stripe Terminal S700 devices. You register each reader once under Concessions Readers, then pair each point-of-sale browser to the reader sitting next to it.
Registering a Reader
Section titled “Registering a Reader”- Go to Concessions Readers (
/admin/concessions/readers) - Under Register a reader, enter the Registration code or reader ID:
- For a new S700, enter the four-word pairing code shown on the device’s screen
- If the reader is already registered in the Stripe dashboard, paste its
tmr_…ID - On a test system,
simulated-s700registers a simulated reader
- Enter a Label — it defaults to the snack cart’s name; use something like “Window 1” if you have several
- Click Register
The table lists each reader’s Label, Stripe reader ID, Location, Last seen, and Status.
Archiving a Reader
Section titled “Archiving a Reader”Click Archive on a reader to stop it accepting charges. Archived readers stay in the list, greyed out, for reference.
Pairing a Station
Section titled “Pairing a Station”A charge is sent to one specific reader, and that choice is remembered per browser — so the tablet at the snack cart and the laptop at the front desk can each talk to their own device.
- Open the Popsicle Checkout or Concessions Cart
- In the header, find This station: and choose the reader from the dropdown
- A toast confirms Station paired to [label]
The badge beside the picker shows the reader’s live state, refreshed every 30 seconds: [label] · online, [label] · offline, or No reader paired. Both point-of-sale screens share the same pairing.
What the Reader Does
Section titled “What the Reader Does”Beyond charging, the reader is how a member without a card on file gets one: a first tap for a tab sale saves the card to the family, and after any reader sale for a member without a saved card, the point of sale offers Save this card for [family]?.
