Getting the Klahaya App
The Klahaya app is the club’s member app for iPhone and Android. It gives you the same account as the member portal — your family, lessons, volunteer hours, the snack bar tab, popsicle punches, guest passes, dues and payments — in a native app with push notifications and tap-to-check-in at the front desk.
Where to get it
Section titled “Where to get it”The app is rolling out to members in stages:
- iPhone — distributed through TestFlight during the beta, then the App Store.
- Android — distributed through Google Play.
The club will share the install link by email and on the portal when your platform is ready. There is nothing to configure after installing — open it and sign in with the email address the club has on file (see Signing In).
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- An iPhone or an Android phone. Push notifications and tap-to-check-in need a real phone; a tablet without NFC can still do everything else.
- The email address the club has on file for you. Sign-in is by emailed code, so you do not need a password.
- A network connection. The app caches what it last saw, so a slow connection at the pool still shows your name, balances and news, but purchases and check-ins need a live connection.
Portal links open in the app
Section titled “Portal links open in the app”Once the app is installed, tapping a link to a member page on the portal — from an email, a text or the club’s news — opens the app instead of a browser tab. If you are signed out, the app holds the link, takes you through sign-in, and then lands you on the page you tapped. See Links and the Website.
Keeping it up to date
Section titled “Keeping it up to date”The club occasionally retires old versions. If yours is too old, the app shows an Update required screen — “This version of the app is no longer supported. Please update Klahaya from the App Store or Google Play to continue.” — and nothing else until you update.
You can always see which version you have at the bottom of the Account tab (App version and Update). Staff and admin logins also see a Role row there, which explains why their tabs look different from a member’s.
Reporting a problem
Section titled “Reporting a problem”On the Account tab, tap Report a problem. It opens a new email to the club with your app version and account reference already filled in, so the person reading it can find what went wrong.
